Set within a fictionalized version of Chicago, Illinois, the single- player story follows a hacker and his efforts to seek revenge after the killing of his niece. Outside of missions, players can freely roam the open world of Chicago. The world may be fully explored from the beginning of the game without restrictions, although story progress unlocks more gameplay content.[2]. Using the in- game smartphone, players have the ability to view a plethora of options, including the ability to display descriptive backgrounds of non- player characters.
